How do I change the resolution after the initial setup?

Position your mouse pointer anywhere on the desktop (except directly on the Taskbar or an app icon) and right-click.

This will bring up the desktop right-click menu. Go to 'Display settings > Resolution' and choose your preferred resolution.

You will be given a preview of how your chosen resolution looks on your screen.

If you are unsatisfied, click 'Cancel'.

If you are satisfied, click 'Confirm and restart'. Please note that this choice will restart your Remix Mini and result in a wait of up to a few minutes

Is there any way to change the resolution before the initial setup? I connected it to my screen and it says the resolution is incorrect.

Same issue as the one mentioned in the first comment.

My screen is a Samsung smart tv.
The input screen noted that the resolution is not supported.

My Sony TV has a blank screen with the following - "Unsupported signal. Please check the device output." How do I fix this?

Same problem as all above, I was reviewing settings and I changed to a better resolution, instead of the preview I've got the message "unsupported signal" from my Samsung TV !! Now I'm stuck there as I cannot get back !

I hate to say this.....I had a crap Matricom Android TV device that is showing the same problems as Remix. Everytime I change my display to 1080p for my tv and restart....the resolution does not actually change. It is on the lowest resolution. Come on...this should be an easy fix. I don't have this problem with any of my other Android devices.

Hi there, I am using my remix on a 20inches 1600*900 lcd monitor and would love to have this resolution available. Is it technically possible ? Enjoying my Remix so far !

Hey guys! If the issue is with the resolution before setup, currently the only workaround is found here: http://support.jide.com/hc/en-us/articles/213537078.

We are also working on an auto-detect feature for the resolution and after it's complete and tested, we'll roll it out in a future OTA update.

@ Justin Bacle - We are working on other resolutions (ie. 1280x1024 is on our radar) to be supported. I'll bring up your 1600x900 resolution. Btw, what make and model is your monitor?

    Thanks!

@Andrew Mallo - Can I make sure I understand your scenario correctly? Do you mean that after you've set your resolution to 1080p, the resolution goes back to 720p after your Mini a) goes to sleep b) gets rebooted c) gets turned off and on?

Would you mind sending us this feedback through the User Feedback app (round yellow smoochy face in the app drawer) because sending it there will give us a system log which will help our engineers get to the bottom of your issue more efficiently.

    Thanks!

@Eduardo Bezerra - I'd also advise you to connect your Mini to another screen and reset the resolution that was working on your preferred screen. Then, it would be great if you could send us this feedback through the User Feedback app (round yellow smoochy face in the app drawer) because sending it there will give us a system log which will help our engineers get to the bottom of your issue more efficiently.

Thanks for your support and feedback thus far!

@All - After talking to the engineers, if you guys are having issues with 1080p / 60Hz, try setting it to 1080p / 50Hz as this could make a difference with the screen in question.

I'd appreciate if you guys let me know if this helps at all.

    Thanks!

If I can't set it up in the first place, how would I get the future auto detect update via OTA?

Currently, I've tried 3 different monitors and my Samsung TV but could not get remix mini to show.

Here are the models of monitors and TV I've tried.

Monitors used include: Acer x233H, Samsung SyncMaster 216BW, and Dell CTN315247. The Samsung TV is LN46B610A5FXCZ

Just wanted to provide an update on my progress so far. I was able to boot up the Mini from connecting to a work monitor that supported 50Hz. I've now changed the resolution to 60Hz. Will test when I get home later to see if I can get it to work with one of my monitors.

Cheap junk. I cannot do anything on this because everytime I click the mouse the screen blacks out for up to 20 seconds at a time. Also this was supposed to be 4k supported, it isn't.
Not pleased at all. This will go into my box of junk with some of the other devices that were too good to be true.
    Total failure Jide.
I'm glad I didn't invest too much into this.

I have an LG 29UM67-P ultrawide monitor (2560x1080) and I would like the Remix MIni to support that resolution (and many more)

Another update after testing... Unfortunately, even my Acer which supported 1920x1080 is not able to work with the Remix Mini after switching the Remix Mini default setting to 60Hz. This has been very frustrating. I was so looking forward to using the Remix Mini. Jide, please fix this resolution issue ASAP.

@Jason Zheng do you have any updates on this monitor black screen issue?
I believe that may be the supported resolution.
My monitor have a maximum 1600x900 resolution.
Do you know when is the remix mini going to support more resolutions ?

I'm also facing problems changing resolution. my remix mini is connected to a LG 22" monitor/tv and i've used my hdmi cable with another computer at 1080p without any problems. when I select another resolution (eg. 720 @60hz, 1080 @50hz, 1080 @60hz) the screen flashes but when i've got video output again the resolution is still 720 @50hz. I've an dialog asking me to reboot to apply settings but it goes back to 720 @50hz

I came home to find my resolution to be at 1280x720 @50 Hz. I tried to change it back to 1920x1080 (which was its original setting) and am unable to get it to change back. Tried several times from the 'Jide' logo menu and from the 'right-click' option. The machine restarts, but the resolution remains as 1280x720.

If you can start remix up on a compatible monitor, then:

    - Alt F1

    - wm size [dimensions here eg. 1204x768] <Enter>

    - Alt f7

There is no way to change resolution. Please fix this as the current resolution of 674x396 on a 1920x1080 screen is unacceptable.

ETA: This is for the PC version.
