Now after update, Mini says "optimizing app", takes several minutes, then shuts down. Once got it to go for about 10 minutes before shutdown. WTF?

Just updated and still all apps installed.

Play Store too, so nothing has been removed ?!
    And it is still working.

Does anyone know if this update fixes the speaker popping/buzzing when the mini goes idle?

Don't have a speaker problem but only using hdmi out

Tom, are you using the 3.5 mm audio out connection?

Yes, I'm using the 3.5 mm audio out connection.

Once the mini goes idle, any powered speakers which are connected via the 3.5 mm audio out will pop/buzz (like when you first plug speakers into an already running computer) ever 45 seconds or so.  It like the speaker connection circuitry in the mini turns off then on again.

    It's very annoying.
